Privacy.
Vantage Drafts helps serious best ball drafters plan drafts, monitor portfolio exposure, and understand draft context. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control your information.
Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Vantage Drafts (“Vantage,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, web app, APIs, and Chrome extension (the “Service”).
Vantage is a portfolio-aware draft planning tool for fantasy football best ball players. We are not a fantasy contest operator, sportsbook, gaming platform, or payment custodian for contest entries or prizes. This policy does not apply to Underdog Fantasy, DraftKings, or any other third-party contest platform you use alongside Vantage.
Information we collect
Account information
When you create or access an account, our authentication provider processes your sign-in information, such as email address, session identifiers, and basic account metadata. We receive the information needed to identify your Vantage account and authorize access. We do not store your password.
Draft, contest, and portfolio data
We collect the best ball data you sync, import, or create in Vantage, including draft IDs, contest names, contest platform, entry fees, draft slots, team counts, draft status, player picks, rosters, queued candidates, planning notes, exposure settings, and portfolio analysis results. This information lets us calculate exposure, return probabilities, roster structure, stacks, Week 17 correlations, and other draft context.
Chrome extension data
If you install the Vantage extension, it reads supported draft-room information visible in your browser so it can send draft snapshots, pick events, and sync-health messages to your Vantage account. The extension does not ask for, collect, or store your contest-platform password or payment credentials.
Manual imports and uploaded files
If you upload CSVs or other files, we process the file contents and related metadata to preview, validate, and import your draft or data snapshot. Raw import rows may be retained temporarily for debugging, reconciliation, and support, then deleted or compacted under our retention practices.
Usage, device, and diagnostics data
We collect information about how the Service performs and how users interact with it, such as pages viewed, features used, request logs, IP address, browser and device information, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, performance metrics, and error reports. We use this data to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
Payment and subscription data
Paid subscriptions are handled by a third-party payment processor. We receive billing status, plan, customer identifiers, subscription identifiers, and limited transaction metadata. We do not store your full card number or bank account credentials.
Support and communications
If you contact us, respond to surveys, submit feedback, or request support, we collect the information you choose to provide and the context needed to respond.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and personalize your draft workspace, portfolio dashboard, import flows, and account settings.
- Sync supported live drafts, reconcile draft-room changes, and show sync-health status.
- Calculate draft context, including player availability, ADP movement, return probability, roster fit, stack labels, exposure, and contest structure.
- Generate AI-assisted analysis from structured draft and portfolio facts. We send only the context needed for the requested analysis and do not intentionally include payment credentials or contest-platform passwords.
- Process subscriptions, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, secure the Service, and investigate errors or unauthorized activity.
- Improve the Service, build aggregate product insights, evaluate model calibration, and understand which features are useful to best ball drafters.
- Send transactional messages such as account, security, billing, and support notices. We send marketing messages only where permitted by law and your communication preferences.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
How we share information
We do not sell your private draft portfolio. We share information only as described in this policy:
- Service providers. We use vendors for hosting, database infrastructure, authentication, billing, analytics, error monitoring, background jobs, email, customer support, and AI processing. They may process information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if we believe it is required by law, needed to protect rights or safety, or necessary to detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our terms.
- Business transfers. If Vantage is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to appropriate protections.
- With your direction or consent. We may share information when you ask us to, such as when you connect a future integration or authorize an export.
- Aggregated or de-identified data. We may use and share data that does not reasonably identify you, such as aggregate feature usage, aggregate model performance, or anonymized portfolio trends.
AI and model processing
Some Vantage features use third-party language models to summarize or explain draft context. The model input may include structured information about your draft, roster, portfolio exposures, player candidates, and relevant football data. AI output may be stored in your account so you can view it later and so we can debug quality or safety issues.
We do not use your private draft data to train models for other customers. Third-party AI providers process submitted prompts and outputs under their own enterprise or API terms with us.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect sessions, measure product usage, and diagnose errors. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but signed-in features may not work if required authentication cookies are blocked.
Retention
We keep account, subscription, draft, and portfolio data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account or ask us to delete it, we remove user-owned draft and portfolio data within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records for legal, tax, accounting, security, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Operational records have shorter lifecycles where practical. For example, successful manual-import raw rows are intended to be removed after import validation, raw AI prompt payloads are compacted or deleted after they are no longer needed for debugging, and unreferenced simulation or prediction logs may be pruned under scheduled retention jobs. Aggregated or de-identified analytics may be retained indefinitely.
Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including TLS in transit, managed authentication, access controls, production logging controls, and restricted access to production systems. No online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure. If we learn of a security incident that requires notice, we will notify affected users as required by law.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain uses of your personal information. You may also have the right to appeal a decision we make about a privacy request.
- You can view much of your draft and portfolio data inside the app.
- You can request an export or deletion of account data by emailing us at the address below.
- You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the instructions in the message. Transactional account, billing, and security messages may still be sent.
- We do not sell your personal information. If we ever offer targeted advertising or other processing that requires an opt-out right, we will provide the required controls.
Children and eligibility
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Third-party services
The Service may reference or link to third-party websites, contest operators, data sources, payment processors, authentication providers, browser extension stores, and support tools. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as our Service, data practices, or legal obligations change. If changes are material, we will provide notice in the app, by email, or by another reasonable method. The “Last updated” date shows when this version became effective.
